XTAR - The Leading U.S. Provider of Commercial X-Band Capacity

XTAR, LLC is a privately owned and operated company providing commercial services in the X-band frequency (7.25-8.4 GHz) through two owned and operated satellite payloads, XTAR-EUR and XTAR-LANT. XTAR is exclusively dedicated to serving the long-haul communications needs of U.S. and Allied military and government organizations. The high-powered global, fixed and steerable beams on XTAR's two payloads provide essential, flexible, real-time X-band capacity with coverage anywhere from Denver east to Singapore.

XTAR's unique satellite system supports the critical communications requirements of multi-national governments, military, diplomatic, and civilian government agencies.

Government (X-band) frequencies are covered under Status of Forces agreements, which facilitate
XTAR's utilization by U.S. and Allied government groups and humanitarian organizations. XTAR's
X-band capabilities are superior to legacy DSCS services or commercial C- and Ku-band offerings. Its services are specifically designed to be fully compatible with WGS and legacy Department of Defense (DoD) SATCOM terminals, supporting stationary and mobile warfighters in the air, on the ground and at sea, under the most adverse of conditions.

XTAR, LLC is a joint venture between Loral Space & Communications, which owns 56 percent, and HISDESAT, which owns 44 percent. Headquartered in Rockville, MD., XTAR has offices in Madrid,
Spain and Palo Alto, California.
